No Remote Account Required

SubMate is an offline-first, zero-knowledge application. We do not maintain user profiles, passwords, or subscription databases on remote servers. All your financial and subscription data is stored solely inside the local AES-256 encrypted storage on your physical device.

1. How Your Data Is Stored & Managed

Because SubMate never transmits your records to a remote server, deleting your data does not require a remote server database purge. You have instantaneous, total control over erasing all stored records directly on your device.

2. How to Erase All Data Within the App

You can permanently delete all subscription history, preferences, and cached records at any time:

  1. Open the SubMate application on your mobile device or browser.
  2. Tap on the Settings tab in the navigation bar.
  3. Scroll down to the Data & Vault Management section.
  4. Tap Clear Vault / Reset All Data.
  5. Confirm the prompt. All stored subscriptions, local alarm schedules, and preferences are instantly wiped.

3. How to Wipe App Data via Android Settings

You can also perform a complete hardware-level wipe through the Android Operating System:

  1. Open your Android device's Settings app.
  2. Navigate to Apps or Application Manager.
  3. Locate and tap on SubMate.
  4. Tap Storage & Cache.
  5. Tap Clear Storage (or Clear Data).
  6. All local encryption keys and database files are permanently purged. Uninstalling the app achieves the same result immediately.

4. Data Types and Retention Periods

The following table clarifies what data SubMate handles, where it is held, and how long it persists:

Data Category Storage Location Retention Duration
Subscription Names & Costs Local Device Encrypted Vault (AES-256) Until deleted by user or app is uninstalled
Local Notification Alarms Android Local Alarm Manager Cleared upon notification dispatch or cancel
Bank Statement Import In-Memory Only Discarded immediately after import processing
Server / Cloud Data None (Zero-Knowledge Architecture) N/A (No data retained on servers)

5. Questions or Manual Assistance
